Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. The girl is English and half Spanish. Parents are Dennis Alan Taylor an ex-banker and Jennifer Marina Joy psychologist. Their father is Argentine who is of Scottish and English heritage. Her mother comes from Spanish as well as English ancestral roots. Taylor-Joy is one of the five children. Four are born from her father's prior marriage. Her family lived living in Buenos Aires from the time she reached the age of six up until the day they left for Victoria, London. Taylor-Joy claims that the move to London was traumatizing and that she didn't learn English in order to prevent returning to Argentina. Hill House had to be her school of choice after she changed schools from Northlands. Later, she enrolled in Queen's Gate School where she trained in ballet and appeared in school plays. She left at the age of 16 to go to school in order to pursue acting as a career. Taylor-Joy was a child actress and was sure she would eventually become an actor. Her dreams were realized when Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm Management offered her a modelling job.
