Harry Edward Styles, known in the world of music by the name of Harry Styles, is a British singer and composer, recognized as one of the members of the group One Direction. Based in Holmes Chapel in Cheshire England Styles is the son of Des Styles & Anne Cox. Harry Styles went to the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive, along with three of his classmates, formed a musical group called White Eskimo. After they won the Battle of Bands 2009 thanks to an excellent performance, they also participated in the 2010 Battle of Bands. The musician was always fascinated by the arts, however he also wished to work as an attorney, physiotherapist or even a scout. He was employed in the local bakery for a few hours to support his family financially. Harry Styles performed Is not She Lovely (Stevie Wonder) at the 2010 auditions to The X Factor. That's why his group split. Nicole Scherzinger proposed to Harry Styles that he join of a new band, One Direction. The other band members included Liam Payne Zayn Mallik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell was the sponsor of this group, which formed in 2010. The band of five was backed by Simon Cowell. They sang Kelly Clarkson's My Life Would Suck without You and Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart. The group was among the top contenders in the contest. However, they came in third in front of Rebecca Ferguson. Harry Styles was not the winner. Cowell was a millionaire as part of a deal for One Direction.
