Amber Benson is an American actress, director, and producer. She was best known as Tara Maclay in the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Additionally, she produced, directed and starred her own film Chance and Lovers Liars & Lunatics. She also starred Kiss the Bride. Benson was the youngest child from Edward Benson and Diane Benson. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama on 8 January 1977. She has a younger sister Danielle Benson, who is an artist. Benson was brought up in an Reform synagogue in the name of the Reform Jewish mother and Jewish father. Benson was first seen in movies, such as The Killing Jar. Benson has also been featured in TV shows such as Morganville The Series. While behind the lens Benson also used her writing talent to create The Ghosts of Albion television series.
